Chris and Trish

The 2010 season closes with a bang. Chris and Trish had an awesome wedding and we were glad to be a part of it. It started in Farmington at the beautiful St. Patricks church. Chris was holding it down trying not to be nervous. I'm sure he was anxious to see how beautiful Trisha looked. She rolled up in a very cool classic Buick. She looked great and had fun waving to all her tardy guests as they scampered into the church. Then it was on to the Riverview. We've been there more than any other venue this year. I think it's about time Vividography made the preferred vendor list! The night was grand despite the cold temperatures and the lack of light for pictures outside. The couple rented some cool architectural lighting for some ambiance and it paid off. It was a great way to finish the wedding season. Enjoy!

Josh and Katie

Presenting Josh and Katie! This October wedding took place on a beautiful autumn afternoon in Bristol. The church looked great with tons of sunbeams shining through the stained glass. Katie looked beautiful and Josh tried to remain composed as he saw her coming down the aisle. Despite getting yelled at by the priest for being on a step that I was not supposed to be on:)the wedding went off without a hitch. Then it was on to the park with their talented photographer Eric Foley for some quick pics before sunset. The pictures came out great but we paid the price with blood loss due to the mosquitoes enjoying the unseasonably warm weather. The Cascades in Hamden wrapped up the evening with style. Katie and Josh had a sweet and tender love. They had a great wedding and we enjoyed filming it. Thanks to my awesome assistant Alex for shooting some great footy (even without the snap-zooms). Enjoy!

Derek and Noel

Meet Derek and Noel. What a fun loving couple! I think Derek's one goal was to make Noel laugh at every opportunity during the day. It was great. These two were not overwhelmed by the day at all. They were lighthearted and enjoying each others company. From making faces at each other to donning a top hat and monocle, Noel and Derek made October 2nd a day to remember for all their guests. Mahan's provided chocolate fountains and Noel and Derek provided a sweet love that gave everyone something to smile about.

Joel and Jennessa

The leaves are changing the cider is flowing and "Oh yeah" October happens to have some pretty unpredictable weather. So it rained a little (sometimes a lot) on Joel and Jennessa's special day. So there was mud rimming the bottom of most dresses. So my camera lens needed an occasional wipe down from the mist. Nothing could dampen the spirits of all those who attended the Grenier's wedding. Jennessa is a bundle of fun and her smile and bubbly personality kept everybody positive. Joel was chill and his eyes were locked onto his new bride. Wood Acre Farms hosted this event and thankfully they have a big porch to accommodate inclement outdoor weddings.

Jessica and Tom

Autumn has arrived and it is my personal favorite time of year. The perfect couple to bring in a new season are Tom and Jessica. Their wedding took place at the Riverview in Simsbury and it was an amazing day. Beautiful 75 degree weather and not a cloud in the sky. They were easy to work with and had a very easy going demeanor. We got some great footage and even managed to squeeze in some shots of Tom's Beemer! Enjoy.

Joseph and Kayla

As fall is kicking into gear it's always nice to remember those warm summer weddings. Joe and Kayla got married late August at St. Sebastian church in Middletown. Much to our delight the church was nice and cool despite the balmy temperatures outside. This wedding reminded me why every one should have their wedding on video. Their priest (an incredibly nice guy) admitted that he doesn't do as many weddings as he used to. One unforgettable moment was when he blew out the two unity candles that the mothers had just lit. He was convinced that single large candle was supposed to have been lit by the moms. The look on his face as Joe was shaking his head no was priceless. He quickly reached for the matches and cued the organist to "Keep the music going!". Everyone had a good laugh and the ceremony was a beautiful event. From there we headed to Hubbard Park for some pictures before ending the night in Waterbury at the Villa Rosa. Joe and Kayla had a great day and they were fun to work with. Enjoy!

Lonnie and Karen

We had a whole half day with Lonnie and Karen and we got some great footage. The day started at the Marriot in Hartford. From there we filmed the couple and their family at Elizabeth Park in West Hartford. It was one of those steamy August days. Everyone was flocking to shade whenever they could. After the photo session we drove back to Pratt St. in Hartford to the beautiful Society Room. We had a traditional Jewish Katubah signing and then the ceremony under the Hupa. Lonnie and Karen were blessed to be surrounded by friends and family on their wedding day. The Society Room provided a stunny backdrop for their event and we took full advantage of the scenery. Lonnie was a jokster and kept everbody laughing while Karen was very chill and managed to keep everything organized. They are a fun couple and we enjoyed being a part of their day. Enjoy!
